Just introducing myself

I used to be active in graphics years ago, but lost Photoshop after being involved in ministry for the Christian Faith, and have since only used a cheap PhotoPlusSE program which is not upgradeable.

I do not have the time to do graphics such as I once did, but I wanted an editor that was as powerful as PS, and GIMP was recommended to me - being free did not hurt at all, either.

By the way, I downloaded GIMP 2.8 for Windows 7 Home.

I find that the learning curve may take me a while, especially with the limited time I have presently, but I just wanted to introduce myself and give some brief information in the introduction.

I hope to be able to learn from those of you who know these things.
