Step 6: Activate the freshly created layer mask of "neon-lines" with left-click on the layer mask symbol in the layer-box. Now select white as your foreground-color and black as background color. Apply a Bi-Linear gradient on the layer mask to fade out the left and right side of the neon-lines layer. Start in the middle of the picture and drag the gradient to the left. Compare with my image on the left. |

Step 7: Duplicate the "neon-lines" layer 6 times. Gaussian Blur the layer "neon-lines" with 12pixels. Gaussian Blur the layer "neon-lines copy" with 10pixels Gaussian Blur the layer "neon-lines copy#2" with 8pixels and so on. Do not blur the last layer on the top! You will notice kind of glow-effect, on the scanlines. But be sure to blur the layer, not the layer mask! Blurring the layer mask, does not have any effect :-) |

Step 8: Now, the final step: Change the layer-mode on all "neon-lines" layer to "overlay" and you are done. Congrats! |
