This tutorial should teach you to create a starburst like effect which brings in some action in your artwork. |

We start with a simple white image and draw many black rectangles on it as shown here. More black areas lead to a darker effect. |

Now, right click on your image and choose Filters-Distorts-Polar Coords.... Choose a circle depth of zero and activate "To Polar". |

You should get something like this. |

Apply some Gaussian Blur (IIR) to the image (x=15, y=15 are good values for this image size). |

Create a new layer and fill it with a dark color (I used R=0, G=31, B=63). |

Add an alpha channel to our first layer and put it over the second layer like shown here. |
