This text will show you how to do a silky swirly image. We start by creating a new image, preferabely more or less square. (my image was W 477, H 454) then choose a dark favorite color and then choose a light version of it. |

Could be something like this. |

Fill the image with gradient from one corner to the opposite, like this. |

Then draw a spiral in a brighter color on top of the gradient tone. |

Blur it with filters --> blur --> gaussian blur (iir) and make the radius big, like 30 f.ex. |

go to filters --> distorts --> whirl and pinch
make your whirl angle like the way you want it, don't pinch too
much, but don't leave it too smoothe. here's my values:
angle: 360.00
amount: 0.423
radius: 1.141

go to filters --> distorts --> waves
do big, long waves. my values:
amplitude: 76.49
phase: 55.92
wavelenght: 44.67
